Common questions

What happens if I try to publish before the book is ready?

If the draft can be saved but required publication details are missing, Hamsterra keeps the draft and lists what you need to add.

Does importing an excerpt upload my book file?

No. The file stays on your device. The extracted text fills the editor for you to check before publishing.

Can I hide the excerpt later?

Yes. Select Unpublish in the excerpt editor. The excerpt becomes a draft again.
