Written steps (text version of this video)

This walkthrough shows how to choose between manual and automatic approval, read an application, approve or reject it, block a reader, decide several applications at once and switch to automatic approval.

  1. Open your campaign.

The overview shows how many readers are waiting for your decision.

  2. Choose how readers are approved.

In Settings, under Approval and delivery, choose Manual approval or Automatic approval, then select Save.

  3. Keep Manual approval for now.

With Manual approval, you review each application yourself.

  4. Open Participants.

Select a reader's name to see their answers, review platforms, agreements and history.

  5. Read the application.

The card shows the answers, review platforms, consent and history, with each status kept separate.

  6. Approve a reader.

Add an optional note for your records, then select Approve application. The reader is emailed that they're approved.

  7. Check the approval email.

The reader is told they are approved; their copy follows in a separate email.

  8. Reject an application.

Select Reject for an application that isn't a good fit. The reader gets a polite decline email. You can still approve them later while there's room.

  9. Block a reader.

Select Block reader to decline their future requests. Pending requests are declined with your usual decline email, later ones automatically. Copies already issued stay available, and readers are never told.

  10. Decide in bulk.

  12. Next: deliver personalised copies.

Choose when approved readers receive their personalised copies.

Check you’re done

Common questions

Where can I read a reader’s answers?

Open Participants and select the reader’s name. Their card shows their answers, review platforms, agreements and history.

Can I decide several applications at once?

Yes. Select applications on the page, then choose Approve selected or Decline selected. Already decided applications are skipped.

Does approval mean the reader has their copy?

No. Decision and delivery are separate statuses. With Manual delivery, you still need to issue access; the reader is emailed once their copy is ready.
