Written steps (text version of this video)

This walkthrough shows how to unsubscribe from the Hamsterra newsletter, turn off author emails from Email preferences without signing in, delete the data from a guest application and find what is kept when you delete your account.

  1. Open Account settings from the menu at the top.

    Then select Emails.

  3. Select Unsubscribe to stop the newsletter.

Select Subscribe to get it again at any time.

  4. Open Email preferences in an email.

  6. Select Leave the reader list.

  8. Applied as a guest? Open your personal link.

Under Your data, select Delete my data.

  9. Check what we delete and what we keep.

  13. That's the end of the reader videos.

    Happy reading.

Common questions

Does unsubscribing from the newsletter stop all Hamsterra emails?

No. Emails about your account, applications and campaigns are sent either way.

Will changing Email preferences remove my follows or books?

No. These preferences do not change the authors you follow or cancel a book you already received. Emails needed to deliver a copy you requested may still be sent.

Does deleting my guest data remove anything the author already exported?

No. Anything already exported or copied outside Hamsterra is not affected. Your guest link and download access for that ARC stop working.
